Order Energy at Lightning Speed

ENERGY1 is an independent auction platform. It is aimed at corporate and private customers who need fuel, heating oil and other energy products. The way the platform works is very simple: customers enter their need in just a few steps so that suppliers can offer a price. If the auction is successful, the contract is concluded directly between the supplier and customer and the supplier pays a volume-based fee.

ENERGY1 does not trade in energy products itself.

The following products can currently be requested:

• Diesel (B0, B7)
• Gasoline (unleaded 95 and 98)
• AdBlue
• Heating oil (eco low sulphur 50ppm and 10ppm)

The agreed price is per 100 liters including transport costs (carriage paid to the tank) and is based on the supplier's volume-dependent commodity prices applicable at the time of conclusion of the contract, public charges, in particular mineral oil and value added tax, CO2 charges, heavy goods vehicle charges and Carbura charges.

The agreed price applies until delivery, regardless of how the oil price develops in the meantime.

The spot business is short-term. The delivery period is known and is usually within the next six weeks.

A contract is a forward transaction. The fulfillment of the contract (delivery and payment) is agreed for a later date, but at a forward price agreed on the day of conclusion. Contracts give the customer planning security and the opportunity to hedge large quantities at an advantageous price.

ENERGY1 is free of charge for customers and there is no obligation to order.

For suppliers, the user account is free of charge and there is no obligation to bid. Only volume-dependent fees are charged in the event of a successful auction.

In the case of automatic contract assignment, the supplier who has offered the lowest price is automatically assigned the contract at the end of the auction period. If two bids are equal, the one submitted earlier wins. With manual order assignment, customers have 15 minutes after the auction deadline to choose a quote.

Customers can start an auction at any time. However, an auction only runs during office or stock exchange trading hours between 10:00 and 12:00 and between 13:00 and 17:30. If an auction ends outside these time slots, it will be continued for 30 minutes in the next possible time slot.

An auction takes 75 minutes from the start of order publishing. An additional time window of 15 minutes is added for manual order assignment. During this time window, the customer can decide on a quote.

With automatic order assignment, your effort is reduced. Once the auction has started, you no longer have to do anything - the supplier with the best price is assigned the contract. This type of awarding is particularly suitable for spot auctions (see What do "spot" and "contract" mean?).

With manual order assignment, you retain full control. You can also use manual order placement to obtain quotes. Manual order placement is therefore particularly suitable for large order quantities.

You can influence the price in the following ways:

• Delivery period: The longer the selected delivery period, the more likely the order will fit into the supplier's planning. So choose the longest possible delivery period.
  
  
• Quantity: The larger the quantity ordered, the more interesting the order is for suppliers. So order as large a quantity as possible.
  
  
• Award type: When placing orders manually, suppliers must guarantee the price during the 15-minute award period. In times of volatile oil markets, this is not always possible and suppliers may not bid. You should therefore choose automatic order assignment in order to receive as many bids as possible.

Yes, manual order assignment allows you to assign a contract to your counterparty at the end. By processing your countertrade via ENERGY1, you always know whether your counterparty's price is appropriate.

Of course, you can also order as a private customer and buy cheap heating oil.

Auctions often end unsuccessfully due to a lack of delivery capacity. This is more likely to be the case if delivery is to take place at very short notice or at a very specific time. We therefore recommend that you start the auction at least 48 hours before the start of your - preferably long - delivery period.

Yes, ENERGY1 is free of charge for customers anyway and there is no obligation to order.

Taking part in an auction is very easy:

1. Log on to app.enregy1.ch.
2. Under "Laufende Auktionen" you will see all current auctions.
3. Click on "anzeigen" to see all the relevant information.
4. Now enter your bid, accept the GTC and click on "Jetzt bieten".
5. You will then see whether your bid is the best.

The e-mail informs you about a new auction. You will also see this information in the detailed view of an ongoing auction.

As soon as you have placed a bid, you will see the bids of your competitors.

You can place another bid at any time up to the end of the auction. This bid must be at least 1 cent lower than the previous best bid.

You will receive the invoice at the end of each month.
